Q. Do you do country and interstate home and office removals?
We don't do interstate removals. Most of our moves are in the Melbourne metropolitan area, however if you require a country move please call us to discuss.
Q. Can you dismantle and reassemble furniture as part of the removal?
Dismantling your own furniture will reduce the amount of time taken for the removal, however, we do carry a tool kit and are happy to help.
Q. Is it better to choose a fixed quote or an hourly rate?
We work at the same rate no matter which pricing option you choose, our goal is always to get the job done quickly and carefully. If you know what you are taking with you and are packed and ready on the day then a fixed quote is the best choice as there are no surprises with a fixed quote. If you are unable to quantify what you are taking on the day then an hourly rate is more suitable.
Q. Do you work on weekends and public holidays?
Our standard hours are Monday–Saturday. We can also work on public holidays, except Christmas and New Years Day, when required.
Q. How far in advance should I book for a removal?
It's best to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. While we will do our best to make a time to suit your needs, a minimum of one month before the planned removal is advised.
Q. Can I help with loading and unloading in order to save money?
Yes, unless you have a bad back or similar complaint, you’re welcome to help. Go Green Removals cannot take responsibility for any injury or damages you incur.
Q. What kind of insurance do you offer?
We will give a written guarantee to repair or replace any item damaged.
Q. Do you move large items like pianos and pool tables?
Yes we do. Given the degree of difficulty involved, we recommend leaving it to our staff who have all of the right knowledge, experience and equipment for moving such items.
Q. Are there any items you cannot transport?
Yes. We cannot take gas bottles, fuel containers and other hazardous goods for safety and insurance reasons.
Q. Can you provide boxes and packaging materials?
Yes, we can provide boxes, wrapping paper, bubble wrap, tape and tape dispensers, and pens. Boxes come in book, standard carton or porta-robe sizes. See our FAQ & hints page for the best way to pack your boxes.
Q. Do you provide a packing service?
Yes. We use and recommend Finishing Touch and are happy to arrange booking and payment for you.
Q. Do you provide storage?
At the moment we don't have a storage facility although we will be offering this service in the future, however we can assist you to find an appropriate storage facility and include in your quote the cost of moving goods in/out.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, electronic funds transfer, and personal, business or bank cheques.
